Announcing eCTP and the fall 2009 eCTP incentive program!

eCTP is a linear, online version of the CTP 4 tests (grades 2 through 11) plus a new set of Science tests for grades 4 through 11. eCTP offers instant scores and reports for teachers to use immediately. In addition, during the course of the fall testing cycles, eCTP will roll out all the reports you are familiar with from CTP 4 in convenient, instantly accessible online versions. In short, you get everything that CTP 4 offers, only faster. And there is no need to order materials, store them, or ship test materials back to the testing vendor for scoring.

Free Testing and Incentives for Fall 2009

Please note: The following incentive programs will end when we have enough data to complete the applicable study, so we encourage you to register early to ensure your participation.

Vertical Scaling Study Incentive for Grades 2, 3, 4, 10 and 11

In order to make eCTP even better in the future, we are finalizing our vertical scaling study in grades 2, 3, 4, 10 and 11. ERB is offering free eCTP testing plus $35 per student who completes all the eCTP tests for his or her grade level, including Science where applicable.

Science Only Incentive for Grades 8 and 9

ERB is offering an incentive for students in grades 8 and 9 who take the new Science test. Schools will receive free eCTP testing (for any test in the battery) plus $5 per student. Students must take the Science test to be eligible for this incentive.

Register for the incentive program now.

eCTP Score Reports

eCTP offers the same variety of score reports that are available with CTP 4 paper-and-pencil testing. The eCTP score reports are now available, beginning with the student roster report and student labels. For a complete timetable of when reports will become available, consult the FAQs.

Reports for students who take the eCTP tests will be available when testing is complete and will include:

Online scores will be available immediately for all levels; however, scores for Grade Levels 2 – 4 will become official once the comparability study for these levels is completed and comparability has been established.

You will be able to make school grade comparisons to previous CTP 4 data for Grade Levels 5 – 11, but you should be cautious of making comparisons for individual students or individual classrooms.

For the online Science test, the score roster provides student responses mapped to the science content standards. Normative data will be available for the Science test after the scaling has been completed.

eCTP offers three score report packages. The price of each package covers the testing and scoring per student. Testing is free for schools that participate in either ERB incentive program.
