Praxis™ eBooks Provide Convenience, Economy — and More Practice Opportunities
ETS is launching a program this fall that offers Praxis™ test takers a convenient and economical way to download ETS study guides and practice tests.
The introduction of Praxis™ eBooks will enable candidates to download electronic versions of ETS study guides and practice tests at a reduced price when compared with printed materials. The downloadable files will be offered at $13.95 for practice tests and $22.95 for study guides.
"The electronic format lets test takers get preparation materials immediately," says Bob Bellotti, Manager, Praxis eBooks. "For example, a test taker could download a practice test when they register for a test or when they find themselves with some time to prepare to take it."
New Tests Mean More Practice
Seven new ETS practice tests are being made available online. They are:
- Fundamental Subjects Content Knowledge
- Social Studies Content Knowledge
- Biology Content Knowledge
- Business Education
- English Language, Literature and Composition Content Knowledge
- Elementary Education Content Knowledge
- Special Education Application of Core Principles.
ETS is also splitting multiple-subject guides, such as the one covering mathematics, into single-subject guides so test takers only have to purchase the materials they need. For example, the current mathematics study guide now contains three tests. In the future, test takers will be able to purchase the three tests individually.
The first four eBooks in the series, which are now available, will offer test takers an easy and affordable way to prepare for the ParaPro and Fundamental Subjects tests. An additional 27 test preparation titles are expected to be available as eBooks by early 2007.
