Praxis™ Workshops Benefit Education Faculty Members
and Test Takers

Institutions of higher education can enhance the role they play in preparing candidates for Praxis™ assessments by sponsoring ETS workshops for faculty and students.

ETS offers a series of workshops led by ETS-certified trainers. They are designed to familiarize faculty members with the content of Praxis tests, help them prepare their students for the historically challenging sections of the test and provide information on how they can more effectively instruct students and better prepare them.

An all-day workshop for prospective test takers provides candidates with the opportunity to use ETS test preparation materials and to develop their own individual study plans.

A Better Understanding of the Praxis Test Can Improve Performance

"The key to success on the Praxis test is preparation," says Sandy Abraham, Praxis Business Manager. "As states implement more stringent standards for teacher licensure, the ETS workshops can make an important difference in helping candidates succeed and improving the performance of graduates of an education program."

The three faculty workshops include a required orientation session. Faculty members who complete that workshop can then move on to awareness and data analysis workshops.

The student workshop provides teacher candidates with a solid understanding of the Praxis II® test as well as strategies for improving their performance on it.

Sponsor Workshops on Your Campus

Institutions of higher education can bring the workshops right to their faculty and students or sponsor them in conjunction with nearby colleges and universities.

Information and pricing can be obtained by e-mailing praxisworkshops@marketingworks.com or calling 1-888-700-7970. A brochure containing information on the workshops is also available at http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/PRAXIS/pdf/Praxis_workshop.pdf.
