Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
As Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Jack Hayon is responsible for maintaining ETS's financial health and sustainability, as well as positioning the company to grow and diversify.
Previously, Hayon served as Vice President of Finance, where he worked closely with each of the Functional Centers of Excellence management teams in analyzing the results of their operations, along with the financial teams that support the Strategic Business Units. He also was responsible for the company's Operating & Capital Financial Planning functions and worked directly with the Finance Leadership team to ensure that ETS maximized its return on its significant investments.
Since joining ETS in 2003 as Group Executive Director of Finance & Administration and being promoted to Vice President in 2005, Hayon has overseen many projects that have strengthened ETS's finances, financial controls and service quality.
Hayon helped negotiate the supply-chain contract with Accenture, which has helped ETS reduce costs and improve operational quality; implemented a capital expenditure control process; led deployment of Time & Labor system modifications to improve the accuracy and reliability of labor cost data; developed standard reporting formats to facilitate financial analysis; led the upgrade of the PeopleSoft Financial modules; and implemented the Responsibility Reporting Initiative, a management reporting format that has significantly improved the visibility of costs, an essential tool for financial accountability and cost control.
Before coming to ETS, Hayon was Vice President of Finance for The Boston Globe (a subsidiary of The New York Times Company) for several years. Prior to that, he worked for The New York Times Company, first as Vice President of Corporate Internal Audit and then as Vice President of Corporate Information Systems.
He serves on the Board of Directors of Prometric® and Questar® Assessment, Inc., and is a member of the New Jersey chapter of Financial Executives International.
Hayon, a certified public accountant, earned an MBA in computer applications from the New York University (NYU) Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and computer applications from the NYU School of Business & Public Administration. In addition, he has attended the Executive Education Program at the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and is a certified internal auditor as well as a certified fraud examiner.
ETS has assisted the NAEP program in introducing numerous psychometric and assessment design innovations over the years.
