Senior Vice President of Strategy, Marketing & Growth and Chief Marketing Officer

Scott Nelson is Senior Vice President of Strategy, Marketing & Growth (SMG) and Chief Marketing Officer. In this capacity, he has leadership responsibility for ETS's efforts to ensure the organization's strategy for success now and in the future; develops, acquires and brings to market the products and services needed to achieve that strategy; grows existing ETS brands; and helps to drive innovation at ETS.

SMG encompasses corporate strategy; new product development; marketing and brand management; external and media relations; creative services; internal communications; multimedia and event-planning services; and government relations and public affairs.

Nelson joined ETS in 2006 as Associate Vice President of Communications & Public Affairs and became Vice President of the division the following year. In 2008, Nelson assumed the role of Vice President of Marketing & Public Affairs. He was appointed Senior Vice President in 2014. Prior to coming to ETS, he held leadership positions in communications, public affairs and marketing at DuPont.

At DuPont, Nelson served as global marketing services leader, global corporate brand leader and Public Affairs Director for the Asia region. He also served as Vice President of Public Affairs for the DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company and was responsible for the company's public-policy effort to support education reform.

Nelson is Chair of the Board of Trustees of United Way® of Greater Mercer County and is a board member of Jobs for America's Graduates. He has earned a Six Sigma Green Belt and holds a bachelor's degree in psychology.
