Krista Mattern is an associate research scientist in Research & Development at the College Board, where she has worked since 2006. Previously, she consulted for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (2002-2004) and the State University Civil Service System in Illinois (2005-2006).
Her primary research interests include examining the validity of various admission measures for predicting college success. She also is interested in identifying additional, non-traditional predictors of college success, as well as understanding the college search, selection and transfer process. Mattern has written more than 20 journal articles, research reports and book chapters.
She earned her Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology, with a minor in quantitative psychology, from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 2006.
