Diversity Works at ETS
Leadership Commitment to Diversity
ETS President Kurt Landgraf and the ETS Board of Trustees have demonstrated their commitment to ETS's strategic diversity initiatives through specific actions. Their plans have broadened the concept of diversity beyond ethnic and racial equality to dimensions that include age, culture, national origin, regional origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, family status, educational level and background, employee status, function and organizational level, and range of thought.
A Word from Our CEO About Diversity
To our employees, customers and communities:
It is imperative that we attract, hire, develop and advance the best people to do the job. We must build that diverse workforce so that ETS accurately reflects the world it serves, but also because a more diverse workforce generates a stronger work product from our test development, program administration and research areas.
Diversity stimulates dialogue, innovation, creativity, problem solving and the highest level of quality, productivity and effectiveness as we seek to achieve the ETS success factors.
Problem solving is a collaborative effort requiring different approaches, which fosters unique and often unexpected outcomes. Diversity of thought brings individual experiences, values and advantages to the table, guaranteeing effective and inspiring solutions beneficial to society.
The differences we share as employees at ETS make for a company that is constantly improving and always moving forward. And that is something of which we can be proud.
More importantly, we must be committed to building a workplace culture that enables men and women of diverse backgrounds and diverse levels within the company to contribute to making ETS a world-class company.
Our orientation to diversity also must extend beyond our own employees to the vendors, consultants and contractors who also make vital contributions to ETS. It is essential to our longer-term viability and competitive edge.
The real measure of success will be what we do, not what we say. We are all responsible and accountable for building a more diverse workforce at ETS.
Sincerely,
Kurt Landgraf
President and CEO
