Series #1. Ninth Grade Transition Academy
In January 2008, Becky Harrison — long-time principal of Caprock High School in Amarillo, Texas — presented at an SSRI workshop (an ongoing initiative of the Florida and the Islands Comprehensive Center). The workshop was a series of sessions concerning how ninth-grade academies can ease the transition into high school for struggling learners.
