The GRE® Program conducts two GRE Test Preparation Workshops for Campus Educators each year. The next workshop will be held on March 25, 2019, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
GRE Test Preparation Workshops offer institutional representatives an opportunity to learn about the GRE® General Test and how to prepare students to test to the level of their abilities. Attendees will be able to serve as campus resources, conducting workshops and training sessions for college-based and university-based test preparation activities, including summer enrichment programs, McNair programs and others.
This GRE workshop is designed specifically for campus educators who conduct or plan to conduct their own GRE Test Preparation courses with students.
Sessions include the following:
- Overview of the GRE Testing Program
- Overview of the GRE General Test
- Student Test Experience
- Components of a Test Prep Workshop
- Preparing for the Analytical Writing Measure
- Preparing for the Verbal Reasoning Measure
- Preparing for the Quantitative Reasoning Measure
- Overview of a POWERPREP® Online Practice Test
Registration for the workshop is free. ETS provides a complimentary lunch during the workshop for all attendees. Participants are responsible for all costs related to attendance, including transportation, lodging, other meals and incidentals.
Workshop attendance is limited to 50 participants, with one or two representatives from each institution.
In selecting individuals to attend the workshop, ETS gives priority to those who can function as institution-wide resources in organizing and presenting subsidized or low-cost campus-based GRE test preparation workshops. ETS also seeks to include representatives from a variety of institution types. If we cannot accommodate you in a workshop, we will inform you at the earliest possible date.
Please send questions about the workshop to GREtests@ets.org.
