Research for Higher Education
Long recognized as a leader in educational measurement research, ETS maintains a policy of sharing original research findings with educators and policymakers worldwide so others can benefit from our work. We provide educational research and analysis, educational assessment and product development, and policy studies to inform education-policy discussion and legislation.
We offer reports and validity studies of interest to the higher education community on the following:
- Building a culture of evidence to support accountability in student learning outcomes
- Assessing personal attributes using the ETS® Personal Potential Index (ETS® PPI) supported by nearly a decade of research to evaluate graduate school applicants' suitability for graduate study
- Surveying students on course effectiveness with the Student Instructional Report (SIR II™)
- Providing detailed diagnostic writing feedback using the Criterion® Online Writing Evaluation Service
