ETS offers a number of literacy tests built on frameworks developed during the course of the studies conducted by ETS researchers in adult literacy. These tests include the:

Both sets include a full-length test that offers more comprehensive information about an individual's literacy skills and a shorter locator test that provides an overview of those skills.

The tests are available electronically on this site and consist of real-world tasks and open-ended questions that are automatically scored by the computer. They are also adaptive in that they adjust to an individual's level of skill.
