Princeton, N.J. (October 24, 2011) —
Educational Testing Service (ETS), the creator of the TOEFL® test, announced today the launch of the TOEFL Journey™ program, a new online platform to assist Korean students as they plan to take the TOEFL test and begin their study abroad journey. Available through the TOEFL Go Anywhere website in Korean, the interactive program offers students a wealth of useful information, online tools, and study tips as they begin to explore study abroad destinations at the more than 8,000 institutions around the world that accept the TOEFL test.
The TOEFL Journey program creates a personalized home page for each student based on their expressed study abroad interests and identified stage within the planning process. The TOEFL Journey page assists students in organizing pertinent information such as their upcoming TOEFL test date and their top university selection, as well as providing access to a wide spectrum of resources ranging from helpful hints for living in a foreign country, to a comprehensive listing of student visa requirements and available scholarship opportunities.
Through the use of tailored email alerts, students benefit from timely information to ease the study abroad planning experience.
"The TOEFL Journey program is an innovative tool in the field to connect Korean students with a wealth of timely information to make well-informed decisions regarding their educational dreams," commented Xiaofei Tang, TOEFL Brand Director. "The user-friendly site navigation and engaging interface, coupled with the integration of mobile and email messaging, offers students a comprehensive tool kit to meet their study abroad goals."
The TOEFL Journey program is available free-of-charge. An overview of the tool illustrating its functionality is available at www.toeflgoanywhere.org/TOEFLJourneyOverview.pdf.
Michael Knab, Marketing Brand Manager for the TOEFL test, will offer online demonstrations of the program on Friday, November 11. Members of the media interested in scheduling a demonstration should contact Christina Song at miran@commkorea.com.
