The ParaPro Assessment measures the reading, writing and basic math competencies of practicing and prospective paraprofessionals. In accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act, the ParaPro Assessment can be used to certify teacher’s aides and assistants in the instruction of these subjects to school children.
The ParaPro Assessment is a general aptitude test that offers certification for paraprofessionals. It also offers an objective assessment of a prospective teacher’s requisite foundation of knowledge and skills and the ability to effectively use those skills in the classroom.
The ParaPro Assessment ensures teacher aides and assistants have met the higher standards of qualification required by the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). ETS will work with individual states and school districts to set a passing standard for the test.
