Our Mission

PERC's mission is three-fold:

• To apply research findings toward crafting policy and program ideas for educational improvement
• To undertake and publish research on educational issues of critical interest to state and national governments, as well as to educational institutions
• To conduct evaluation research on investments of public and private resources in education

PERC works across ETS to accomplish the organization's extensive policy research agenda. Senior Vice President Michael T. Nettles leads this effort with the PERC staff, members of the special studies centers in the Research & Development Division and colleagues from elsewhere within the company. PERC also recruits distinguished outside experts in the field of educational policy and research.
