Praxis I Computer-based Tests | Praxis I or Praxis II Paper-based Tests
Register for a Praxis I or Praxis II Paper-based Test
If you are not sure which test to take, check your state testing requirements.
Register Online
- Online registration is open Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–1 a.m., Saturday, 7 a.m. to Sunday, 8 p.m., Eastern Time (New York). Allow 45 minutes for registration.
- See Praxis I® deadlines or Praxis II® deadlines.
- Pay with credit/debit card: American Express®, Discover®, JCB®, MasterCard®, or Visa®.
- You must print your admission ticket and bring it to the test center. You will not receive a paper admission ticket by mail.
- Online registration is not available for test takers with disabilities or for test takers who require Monday testing or whose primary language is not English.
Register by Mail
- Complete the Praxis registration form (PDF) if paying by check or money order. (See codes for registering by mail.)
- Registration must be received by the Praxis I deadlines or Praxis II deadlines.
- You will receive an admission ticket by mail. You must bring your admission ticket to the test center. If you do not receive your ticket at least 1 week before your test date, if your ticket contains an error, or if you lose your ticket, contact ETS immediately:
- In the U.S., U.S. Territories, or Canada, call 1-800-772-9476
- All other locations, call 1-609-771-7395

ETS does not limit how many times you can take a paper-based test. However, you should contact your state or licensing agency to confirm their retest policies. See the Praxis™ Information Bulletin (PDF) for complete policies.
