Refund Policies

Computer-delivered Tests: You are eligible for a refund of $20 per Praxis I® test ($60 for combined test) or $30 for Praxis II® tests if you cancel your testing appointment at least three full days prior to your test date. (This does not include the day of your test or the day of your request. For example, to cancel a Friday appointment, you must submit your cancellation request no later than the Monday prior to your test.)

Paper-delivered Tests: You are eligible for a refund of the test fee(s) and any state surcharges if you cancel your paper-based test no later than three full days prior to your test.

Refund policies are as follows:

  • Registration fees and special service fees are nonrefundable.
  • If you are absent from or arrive too late to take the test at the test administration for which you registered, you are not entitled to a refund.
  • All refunds are in U.S. dollars.
  • Credit/debit card/PayPal payments will be credited back to that account.
  • Check or money order payments will be mailed to you.
    • If the original payment was drawn on a U.S. domestic bank, allow eight weeks after your canceled test date for your refund to be processed.
    • If the original payment was made in non-U.S. funds drawn on a bank outside the United States, allow 12 weeks for processing.
  • If you re-register for a test before you know the results of a prior test, and subsequently receive a passing score for that test, you will automatically receive a full refund. You do not need to submit a request for a refund.

Complete the Refund Request Form and mail it to ETS by the deadline specified in the Cancel or Reschedule Your Registration section.
