Missouri Test Requirements

Special Alert — Important Information

Beginning September 1, 2014, candidates cannot take the Praxis® tests for Missouri educator certification. All candidates must pass the Missouri Educator Gateway Assessments (MEGA) for admission to and completion of educator certification programs in Missouri. For more information, please go to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education website.

Find your certification area below to determine which test(s) you need to take. To learn more about a specific test, click the test title. Once you know your test(s), find out how to register for Praxis® tests and read the Praxis test retake policy.

If you test in Missouri, a copy of your scores will automatically be sent to the Educator Preparation Section of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Jefferson City.

In general, unless it is specifically stated that a calculator is permitted or required for a particular test, calculators may not be used on any Praxis tests (see Calculator Use).

If you test in Missouri, your score report will be sent automatically to the Missouri State Department of Education. If you test outside of Missouri, select the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (state code 7625) as a score recipient when you register or on an additional score report request.
