Scoring and Reporting

Passing Standards

The passing standards for the tests included in the ProEthica® program were established by ETS with input from committees of educators and educator preparation faculty. Once your educators have completed the program, they will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the foundational principles underlying the Model Code of Ethics for Educators (MCEE) and the principles of ethical decision making.

ProEthica® Foundations

Teachers and school leaders taking ProEthica® Foundations will have two attempts to complete and pass each end-of-module test. If, after two attempts, they do not pass, they will be automatically moved on to the next module.

Reporting

Results are reported to you twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. Results for any completed module will be reported in the ETS® Data Manager for the ProEthica program. Scores can be viewed in one of two ways:

  • by logging into your Client Services for the ProEthica program account and selecting the option for ProEthica Candidate Score Reports
  • via a server-to-server connection that you can establish by using the ProEthica Candidate Score Report via Web Service option in Client Services for the ProEthica program

For each of your educators, you will be able to view the percentage correct and pass/not pass status for each end-of-module test that has been completed. Additionally, you will be able to view scores for each attempt at an end-of-module test, if multiple attempts were taken to meet the minimum passing score.
