Computer-delivered Tests FAQs

To help you better serve your candidates, here are some frequently asked questions for you to reference regarding the new computer-delivered tests.

Why is the test code different between the paper-delivered and computer-delivered elementary Education tests?

The leading number in the test code for paper-delivered tests is a zero, while the leading number for computer-delivered tests is a five. These are still the same tests.

How soon can I begin registering for the new computer-delivered tests?

Registration for computer-delivered tests opened on August 17, 2010.

How do I go about registering for the new computer-delivered tests?

You can register either by phone or by Internet. To register by phone call 1-800-853-6773. To register online visit www.ets.org/praxis.

What are the fees for the new computer-delivered tests?

The new Elementary Education tests are $120 and the World Language tests are $140.

How soon can I take one of the new computer-delivered tests?

The computer-delivered tests will be administered across the country in mid-October.

How quickly will I receive my scores?

Results for multiple-choice tests will be available immediately; however, results for constructed response will be available with the official score results in 10 to 15 business days.

How soon will I be able to view my score results?

For any multiple-choice test, you will see your unofficial results immediately upon completing the test.

How often can I take the test if I have not met the required score for my state?

You can retake the test once per 30 consecutive days.
