Improving Praxis State Test Requirement tables so that they are easier to read offers candidates clear information on license requirements in their states.
The Praxis™ program continues to offer candidates additional computer-delivered tests — with six tests launching this month, we now offer a total of 52 test titles on computer. This includes three multi-subject tests and 11 additional subtests.
The 2012–13 testing schedules and dates are now available here and candidates can find out which tests are available via computer.

In an effort to enhance our communication with clients, we are pleased to announce a new addition to the Praxis website specifically designed for States and Agencies. This great new resource can help our state clients and agencies find relevant information about test development, test adoption, standard setting studies, changing a test or setting score requirements. The site also features easy access to ETS tools and resources to help you find the information you need.
This new website includes a calendar with an at-a-glance schedule of key dates for test administrations, multistate standard-setting studies, National Advisory Committees and more. Access the site by clicking the following link: State and Agency Website.
National Advisory Committees and Multistate Standard Setting Studies
The Praxis program has scheduled the National Advisory Committee (NAC) and the Multistate Standard Setting Studies (MSSS) meetings to be held at the ETS campus in Princeton, New Jersey, in the fall of 2012.
A NAC meeting is scheduled for Friday, October 26 through Sunday, October 28 for the Praxis Audiology test (test code 0341). The Multistate Standard Setting Study for Teaching Reading: Elementary Education (test code 5201) will take place from Tuesday, November 13 to Wednesday, November 14, 2012 (first panel) and Wednesday, November 28 to Thursday, November 29 (second panel). Current and new user states will receive invitations for these events to nominate licensed teachers and faculty for the study panels.

The Praxis program is continually seeking ways to improve test-taker support and make the information on the website clear to provide the best user experience. Over the past several years we have worked to organize the information so candidates can quickly find preparation materials, test centers and dates as well as scores and account information. We have also worked with you to customize your state pages which have reduced the number of candidate inquiries.
Starting this fall, we will work to further improve the State Test Requirement pages, by revising the table on the Test Requirement page. The Praxis State Test Requirement tables will be revised so that they are easier to read and offer candidates clear information on license requirements in their states. The revised format will feature certification subjects, the required test, both computer and paper delivered test codes and the qualifying score, all in one easy-to-read table. See the table below for an example of the new format.

New Praxis Computer-Delivered Testing Demonstration
Our new interactive online demonstration is now available on our website. This demo will help candidates get familiar with the computer testing experience prior to test day by walking them through various steps, including logging in, navigation, question types and exiting the test.
The demonstration is a great addition to our suite of free test preparation materials. Test takers can find the demonstration in the Prepare for a Test section, under each computer-delivered test listing.
Succeeding on test day is no accident. It takes organization, planning, preparation and practice. Our new "Strategies for Success" video will show teacher candidates how to plan a strategy that works.
In this video, candidates will learn about managing expectations, understanding and dealing with anxiety, scheduling time and working with study groups. These simple tools can help teacher candidates prepare for success on their test.
ETS offers free live webinars to help candidates succeed as they prepare for teacher licensure. These webinars offer in-depth information, study plan examples and the opportunity to interact and ask questions. Topics include test overviews, free resources for test preparation, a walk-through of select Tests at a Glance (TAAG) and tips for reducing test anxiety. Registration opens approximately two weeks prior to the webinar date and we encourage candidates to participate and register early.
