Happy New Year! We hope that 2012 brings you lots of success!

2011 proved to be an outstanding year for the TOEFL® program. We achieved many important milestones — such as our visa accreditation in the UK and Australia and our customer support expansion in local markets, with our new in-language support centers. We also made the TOEFL test experience easier with our changes to the Reading section. In this issue of the TOEFL Advisor Quarterly, we will reflect on these accomplishments and more.

We are starting 2012 off with our continued efforts to provide new resources for you and your students. These include a free development workshop and the new TOEFL advisor toolkit, along with information about the revised TOEFL requirements for visas through the UK Border Agency. We also have the latest on available TOEFL scholarships.

We have free TOEFL materials that you can share with your students. Inside the TOEFL Test also has a new series of videos, featuring the independent writing section of the TOEFL test. We hope you will find these videos helpful and informative.

Inside the TOEFL® Test

Inside the TOEFL® Test is a series of five videos providing an in-depth review of the Writing and Speaking sections of the TOEFL iBT® test. This month's video features the integrated tasks in the Writing section. These tasks simulate a classroom experience. The test taker reads a passage and then listens to a spoken lecture. Next the test taker answers a question about the relationship between the lecture and the reading passage.
