TOEFL® Scholarships Awarded to Two Australia-bound Students.
TOEFL® scholarships were awarded to 95 students at ceremonies in China, India, Japan, Korea and Taiwan in July. Established in 2009, the ETS scholarship programme recognises academic excellence of TOEFL test takers. Scholarships were awarded to high-performing students studying in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States during the scholarship ceremonies in July. These students were rated based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, essay response and TOEFL scores. Two of these students chose to study in Australia.
Sneha Kangralkar is from Belgaum, Karnataka, India. She is pursuing a postgraduate degree as a Telecommunications & Network Engineering major at LaTrobe University. When asked why she chose Australia, Sneha answered, "It is the most suitable place for Telecommunications studies. All this in a beautiful country like Australia makes it more exciting."
Much like Sneha, Qin Liu is also studying in Australia. Qin is from China. She is studying law at Bond University. Qin selected Australia because she was an exchange student at one point and found that Australia had friendly people and a fantastic natural environment.
For years, the TOEFL Scholarship programme has helped hundreds of students get to the destination of their choice, including Australia. More information about the programme can be found on our website at www.ets.org/toefl/scholarships.
