Success at the 2012 EAIE conference

The European Association for International Education (EAIE) Annual conference 2012 brought over 4,300 university representatives to Dublin, Ireland, the land of a thousand welcomes, to explore the theme of 'Rethinking Education and Reshaping Economies'. The conference was a great success with ample opportunity for interactive discussions, sessions, meetings, workshops and networking events. ETS had a booth and delivered four educational panel sessions complimenting the theme of the conference. Also as part of being proud platinum sponsors, every participant at EAIE received a conference bag courtesy of ETS with information about the TOEFL and GRE® tests and services.

The TOEFL program offered professional development workshop in Ukraine

For the first time in Ukraine, ETS hosted a Propell workshop for the TOEFL iBT® test. Designed specifically for English-language instructors, the workshop offers hands-on, innovative strategies for teachers in preparing students for the TOEFL test. Workshops are available worldwide. The full-day session took place on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine. The event began at 10 a.m. and concluded at 6 p.m. and provided an extensive review of the TOEFL test, while offering educators a platform to discuss successes and challenges in advancing English-language skills for students.

Inside the TOEFL Test video — Integrated Speaking

Inside the TOEFL Test is a series of five videos providing an in-depth review of the Writing and Speaking sections of the TOEFL iBT test. Our video for this month features the Integrated Speaking questions about academic courses. The video focuses on how the questions are structured and what they're asking, how to approach the questions, and how responses are scored. The video will also look at a sample response that received a high score, and provide some tips for improving speaking skills.
