Welcome to our first edition of 2013! In this edition of the eNews Update, we are pleased to announce the launch of our 2013 TOEFL® Scholarship Program. Be sure to have your students apply.
In other news, ETS Global partnered with the U.S. Embassy and held Propell® Workshops for the TOEFL iBT® Test. These workshops provided teachers across Turkey with new skills. In 2012, Propell workshops were held in more than 15 countries!

2013 TOEFL Scholarships Are Now Available |

ETS Global and U.S. Embassy Collaborate on Workshops Across Turkey |
|
As part of the Academic English Workshops initiative established by the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, ETS Global (TOEFL) representatives were invited to hold a series of Propell Workshops for the TOEFL iBT Test. The English-language workshops took place at the end of January (19–31) at four host universities in Istanbul, Antalya, Ankara and Izmir bringing nine Turkish public universities together. The European Propell trainers, Tülay Imre, Joanna Wrzesinska and Franziska Ruehl, held four full-day Propell workshops, reaching over 150 English-language teachers across the country.

Brazil's Minister of Education Announces the Selection of the TOEFL ITP Test to Strengthen English-Language Skills |
|
At a press conference in December, Minister of Education Aloizio Mercadante announced that the TOEFL ITP test will be used as a screening and learning tool for the English Without Borders Program. The newly established English-language learning initiative, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, seeks to assist undergraduate and graduate students in strengthening their English skills to satisfy language requirements for government funded scholarships.
