TOEFL® Scores are Accepted for Student, Post-study, Skilled Migration and Business Visas, and for Course Admissions
For more than 45 years, Australian institutions have accepted TOEFL® scores for admissions. Since 2011, students from around the world can also use their TOEFL scores as part of their student visa applications, which means you only need to take one test to apply to a university and for a student visa in Australia. Get more information about applying for Australian visas.
Starting November 2014, the TOEFL test will be accepted for almost all visas in the graduate, skilled, business, work and holiday categories. The test will also be accepted for use with the SkillSelect system. This means that Australian businesses will have access to a greater pool of potential employees whose English has been tested against an established global standard.
On the visa application, where it asks you to provide a "test certificate number" for your English-language proficiency test, use the Registration Number on your TOEFL score report.
Compare TOEFL iBT® Scores to IELTS® Band Scores for Australia
The Minister for Immigration and Citizenship has accepted the test score equivalencies identified by ETS research for the TOEFL iBT® test when compared to IELTS® academic scores.

These score equivalencies became effective November 5, 2011.
Receiving Your Scores
Scores reports are available online and will be mailed to you, if you requested a paper copy, approximately 10 days after your test date.
