Paris, France (September 29, 2011) —
Educational Testing Service (ETS), creator of the GRE® revised General Test and the TOEFL® test, will participate at the upcoming QS World MBA student fairs in Paris, Milan, Madrid, Istanbul, Frankfurt and London. Students will be able to speak with ETS representatives to learn the latest information regarding the two prominent assessments used to gain admission into business schools globally. MBA candidates also will have the opportunity to receive free bulletins and resources to aid in the planning for the widely regarded tests.
For students around the world, the GRE and TOEFL tests are two important criteria for submitting a competitive business school application.
"ETS is dedicated to ensuring that students throughout Europe have access to the most recent and pertinent information regarding the GRE revised General Test and the TOEFL test so they can prepare for academic success," commented David Payne, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ETS's Higher Education Division. "Having the opportunity to speak directly with students allows for an open exchange of information regarding our globally recognized assessments."
The GRE revised General Test, which features new changes introduced in August of this year, measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills needed for success in today's demanding graduate and business school programs. With a new test-taker friendly design and new question types, the GRE revised General Test reflects the kind of thinking students will do in school and shows their readiness for graduate-level studies.
The TOEFL test measures the ability of nonnative English speakers to use and understand English in a university setting at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. It provides a fair and objective assessment of a student's ability to listen, read, write and speak in an academic environment.
