Number of Colleges and Universities Accepting the TOEFL® Test Soars to More Than 7,500 Globally

Princeton, N.J. (May 27, 2010) —

Educational Testing Service (ETS) announced today that more than 7,500 colleges and universities in more than 130 countries, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Australia, accept the TOEFL ® test, the most widely recognized English-language assessment worldwide.

For more than 45 years, the TOEFL test has provided higher education institutions around the world with an accurate and comprehensive measure to assess the English-language proficiency of non-native speakers.

To date, more than 24 million students globally have taken the TOEFL test and the number of test takers continues to increase.
