I'm a Researcher at Educational Testing Service.
Together with Alina von Davier, who is the Chief of Assessment
at Duolingo, and Chris Han, who is the Head of Test Development
and Psychometrics at GMAC, we're going to give 2024 NCME training
session on computerized multistage testing theory, practical issues, and solutions. We
have been giving this training since 2015 after the publication of our first book,
Computerized Multistage Testing Theory and Applications in 2014.
This training is also based on our upcoming book,
Practical Issues and Solutions in Computerized Multistage Testing in 2024.
This summer.
This course provides a general overview of computerized multistage testing,
it's important concept and processes in the age of AI.
We will cover multistage testing designs alongside the considerations for test
development, psychometrics, and engineering.
We will also discuss how it differs from other test designs,
such as linear tests and computerized adaptive tests,
and how to design and conduct simulations for an optimal test.
