Frequently Asked Questions About Scoring at an AP® Reading Site

Please navigate to the “My Registration” page on the Reader Registration website and click on the “Cancel Registration” button to fill out the cancellation form. If you are unable to cancel your registration by following this process, please notify ETS at ReadAP@ets.org as soon as possible. Failure to inform us may result in your removal from the active Reader pool.

Upon receiving an invitation to the Reading event, you will receive access to the Reader Registration website. This website contains information and instructions about making travel arrangements. Travel expenses, lodging, and meals are covered.

Readers are provided with lodging at a hotel that is typically within walking distance of the convention center. Ground transportation is provided if the hotel is not within walking distance. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at the convention center.

A variety of optional evening activities are scheduled, these activities vary by subject. Some examples include subject-specific professional presentations, receptions, and local outings. Some subjects host evening workshops providing opportunities to network with colleagues and exchange best practices.

The convention center catering kitchens and purveyors offer a variety of products, including those containing beef, egg, fish, milk, peanuts, pork, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat. While they take precautions to minimize the risk of cross-contamination, it's important to note that we cannot provide a guarantee that their products are entirely free from allergens or suitable for those with dietary restrictions. Your safety is our highest priority. We encourage individuals with allergies or dietary restrictions to please plan accordingly prior to coming on site and/or reach out to Human Resources directly so that we can assist in making informed decisions.

Dress is casual; shorts and jeans are acceptable. We recommend bringing a light jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt, as the Reading rooms can become chilly at times. Reading sites are large, and comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

Readers and Leaders must use laptops provided by ETS in the scoring rooms, unless otherwise instructed by ETS.
