How to Obtain Permission to Use ETS Copyrighted Material

For permission to reproduce ETS copyrighted materials, including test questions for research or any other purpose, you must submit a permissions request

  1. Download the Permissions Request Form (PDF).
  2. Complete the form. Make sure to complete the entire form. Requests may be denied or responses delayed if you have not provided all necessary information.
  3. Email the completed form to permissions@ets.org. Be sure to include any additional attachments that may be necessary for review of your request. We will respond to your request in writing within 2 to 4 weeks of the date when we receive your request.

Be sure to read the ETS Licensing Policies

You will be required to make appropriate informational use of our trademarks and to use the credit line and disclaimer that ETS will provide. Based on your use of our copyrighted material, a fee may be required.

Permission requests to reproduce ETS copyrighted materials on publicly accessible or non-secure websites will not be granted. If you are seeking a commercial licensing arrangement to use ETS copyrighted materials on secure learning platforms, authenticated portals, or licensee systems, please indicate this in the Permissions Request Form.
