Yi Cao is a senior psychometrician in the Research & Development division at ETS. She received a Ph.D. in educational measurement, statistics, and evaluation from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2008; her dissertation focused on mixed-format test equating. After graduation, she worked as a research associate at ACT from 2009 to 2011 and then joined the ETS in 2011. She is currently the program psychometric coordinator for the PRAXIS® test program and is overseeing program end-to-end operations. She is also coordinating more than 25 individual test titles for PRAXIS and Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators. Cao’s research interest focuses on applying measurement theories and statistical analysis methods to solve operational issues.
