Feifei Li

Feifei Li is a psychometrician at ETS. She joined the organization in 2010 after completing her postdoctoral research in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a Ph.D. in measurement, statistics, and evaluation from the University of Maryland in 2009. She also has an M.Ed. in educational psychology, an M.A. in applied linguistics, and a B.A. in English. 

Li is currently the lead psychometrician for the TOEFL® Young Student Series (YSS) testing program, including the TOEFL Primary® and TOEFL Junior® tests. She is also directing a project with the Shanghai Municipal Examination Authority (SMEEA) to provide psychometric training and consultation to SMEEA. Li has worked as the psychometric lead for California Science Tests, Maryland High School Assessment, and California Standards Tests programs. In 2012, she led the statistical and psychometric analyses for California Standardized Testing and Reporting program’s tryout of a computer-based test. 

Her research interests include item response theory, generalizability theory, cognitive diagnostic models, computer adaptive testing, testlet models, equating and scaling for large-scale tests, Bayesian analysis, and the applications of different types of observed and latent regression models for psychometric, psychological, and policy issues. Her studies have been presented at international conferences and published in research journals.
