Shuhong Li is a managing senior psychometrician in the Psychometric Analysis and Research group in the Research & Development division at ETS. She holds a Ph.D. in educational measurement from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Since joining ETS in 2005, she has worked on the TOEFL iBT®, the paper-based TOEFL®, and the TOEFL Junior® assessments. She has recently assumed the role of the lead psychometrician for a new product –the TOEFL® Essentials™ test. Her current research interests include the application of statistical/psychometric models to testing problems, with a particular emphasis on the applications of item response theory and psychometric models and principles in the context of language assessment.
