Katrina Roohr

Katrina Roohr is a senior impact research scientist in the AI Research Labs at ETS. In her current role, she conducts user-centered, validity, and efficacy research to support the development of personalized learning solutions that help learners meet their goals efficiently and effectively. Her research has focused on the measurement, assessment, and training of various critical competencies and cross-cutting skills (e.g., critical thinking and oral communication) in higher education and the workplace. She has conducted validation studies on learning outcomes assessments and has conducted research around student learning gain in higher education. She has served on numerous external committees at regional and national conferences and has served as a peer reviewer for several journals in higher education and educational measurement. She earned her Ed.D. in psychometric methods, educational statistics, and research methods from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2013.
