Collaborated with Yale to Create the PSQ, a “Transferable Skills” Measurement

Client:

Yale School of Management

Core work:

Research, Assessment Design, Task Development, Score Reporting

ETS collaborated with Yale to create the ETS® Personal Skills and Qualities Tool (PSQ), an assessment that measures the essential inter- and intrapersonal “soft” skills that can predict academic success.

Yale trusted our team of experts to pilot an initial assessment (ETS FACETS®) which was used by the Yale School of Management Admissions Office for the 2018–2019 school year. ETS worked closely with Yale on score interpretations, appropriate inferences and the process for introducing this novel assessment to students and faculty.

In 2020, ETS began working on the new assessment tool — PSQ — a future standard for graduate programs that’s currently used by the Yale School of Management.

Since then, the team has introduced PSQ to admissions staff and faculty members at over 50 business, law, undergraduate and graduate institutions around the world.
