February 6, 2020
As you are likely aware, GRE® and TOEFL® test administrations are canceled in China through the end of February and in Hong Kong through Feb. 16.
ETS is working with our on-the-ground partners in China and Hong Kong to ensure that test seats will be available once the government gives the go-ahead to proceed. In the meantime, we are supporting test takers who are waiting for testing to resume, as well as programs like yours that may be concerned about your current students and the delay of test score submissions from affected applicants.
With their mobility limited, students are spending more time online, looking for information and opportunities to prepare and connect with others. ETS is reminding test takers of free test prep available through the Official GRE® General Test communities on Chinese social media sites Weibo and WeChat, as well as on Facebook®. We can also use these communities — which combined have more than 1.4 million followers — to inform prospects of your online information sessions, workshops and other recruitment events. The service is complimentary to GRE score users and only takes a few minutes to provide event details.
Should you have thoughts regarding assistance that ETS can provide to you directly as we manage through this situation, please share those with us at +1-609-683-2002 or via email.
Thank you for your continued partnership, and we'll keep you updated on further developments.
