This is how to reschedule a GRE® General Test appointment. To reschedule a test appointment without forfeiting your test fee, you must do so no later than four days before your test date, or 10 days if testing in a test center in Mainland China. For example, the deadline to reschedule a Saturday appointment at a testing center location in the United States is Tuesday. There is a fee to reschedule your test. For more information about test and service fees, visit the GRE website.
Log in to your ETS account. Select the test date you want to reschedule under "Upcoming Tests" and select "Reschedule Appointment" on the right panel.
You can reschedule the date or change the location of your GRE General Test or GRE Subject Test, but you cannot change from a General Test to a Subject Test or vice versa.
If you are rescheduling a test at home, select your test appointment. Choose the two-month period when you would like to take the test. Confirm your time zone or select a new one and select an available test date from the calendar. Then select an available time for your test and click "Register for This Test."
If you are rescheduling to test in a test center, select your test appointment. Enter your preferred testing location. Choose the two-month period when you would like to take the test and then click "Continue." You may select any date from the calendar that shows available seats.
Choose a location and then select "Show Test Times" for that location. When you find a time that suits you, click "Register." A pop-up window will appear confirming you want to reschedule your test. Once you are satisfied that the information is correct, select "Yes."
Review your registration date, time and location. Review your shopping cart and proceed to checkout. Once your payment is verified, you'll receive a confirmation email with your rescheduled test information. If you chose the test at home option, the confirmation email will include the test link to launch your test on test day. Be sure to keep this email secure.
That's it. You have successfully rescheduled your test administration appointment. Best of luck on your test.
