Loans, grants and work study
Discuss your options with the school’s admissions office and proactively seek out research and teaching assistantships. U.S. citizens attending school in the United States should be sure to fill out a FAFSA® form to be eligible for federal loans. International students also have several loan options worth exploring.

Scholarships
Many schools offer merit-based awards, and there are also a wide range of public and private organizations that offer scholarships for graduate study. Check with your school to see what they offer in terms of financial aid and scholarships (and make sure you know the application process and deadlines). Look through online databases to find ones for which you might qualify.
Tuition reimbursement
Your company may be able to help pay for your degree through one or more of the following:
- company scholarships
- tax credits and deductions
- tuition reimbursement plans
- local university partnerships
