iSkills™ Certificates of Achievement

Recently published ETS research confirms that students' motivation in taking learning outcomes assessments has a significant impact on their test performance. In order to help you motivate students to perform their best and increase participation, ETS offers performance-level certificates for students taking the iSkills™ assessment. These certificates can provide students with motivation to do well, which ultimately helps institutions to better position themselves for accreditation and performance funding. Plus, since these certificates are electronic, students can share them with an unlimited number of recipients in academia and beyond.

The certificates show successful completion of the assessment and also categorize scores in three different performance levels to show the kinds of tasks that can commonly be performed by test takers in each score range.

Certificates are available for qualifying scores on the iSkills assessment as shown below:

  • Developing ICT Literacy (Total score range 130–250)
  • Foundational ICT Literacy (Total score range 260–340)
  • Advanced ICT Literacy (Total score range 350–500)

Each performance level is clearly defined on the certificate and includes a detailed explanation of the student's levels of strength in the various task areas defined by the ICT literacy framework.

Receiving Certificates

Students who qualify for a certificate will receive an email notification with instructions for retrieving the certificate from the online student portal at The first time students access the portal, they must connect to the site using the link in the email notification. Students will be asked to verify their last name and then sign in or create an account.

Note: The MyResultsCentral log-in information is different from the user ID/username and password established when taking the assessment. Students will need to create a new account the first time they connect to MyResultsCentral.

Once logged into the student portal, students can:

  • View their score reports
  • View their certificates (if applicable)
  • Save/print a PDF version of the certificate
