Receiving Major Field Test Scores

Accessing score reports

Institutions run score reports and download comparative data reports through Program Workshop, the administrator portal.

Scoring schedule

Score availability depends on test format:

  • Online administrations: scores are available immediately after the administration is over and the institution notifies ETS that the cohort is closed.
  • Paper administrations: scores are available within 10 business days of receipt of a school’s completed answer sheets.

All reports, regardless of format, are available up to 5 years after a cohort is closed.

The only exception to this schedule is when ETS publishes a new exam or when the form of an exam changes. Then a sufficient number of tests must be administered in order for ETS to conduct statistical equating to ensure that the total score of the new form is comparable to the old form.

How students receive their student score reports

Students who take the Major Field Tests will receive an email notification with instructions for retrieving their individual student score report from the online student portal at myresultscentral.ets.org. When students access the portal for the first time, they must connect to the site using the link in the email notification. Students will be asked to verify their last name and then sign in or create an account. Once logged into the student portal, students can view their score reports for the Major Field Test at any time.
