PRINCETON, NJ (June 10, 2025) – ETS Solutions today launched Futurenav Adapt AI, a powerful new product comprised of three assessments that provide insights into employees’ AI literacy. Futurenav Adapt AI measures key aspects of AI literacy, including AI understanding, prompt engineering and AI application for problem solving. This talent and measurement intelligence solution helps workforce leaders develop more robust upskilling plans as well as optimize their investments to prepare for what the future of work will demand.

A forthcoming report from ETS, the 2025 ETS Human Progress Report: HR Edition, surveyed more than 1,000 HR leaders and found that while 67% say AI literacy is an important skill they look for from new hires, only 39% of U.S. employees felt they were proficient in this area (compared to 43% globally). The report also found that 82% of these same HR decision-makers said they are prioritizing AI literacy for employees in the next 18 months, with their plans to invest in technology assessments for skills including AI literacy and digital communication being their top assessment priority during the same period.

“The launch of Futurenav Adapt AI marks a pivotal step in closing the AI literacy gap and for ETS to meet its Human Progress Commitment to ready 100M+ people for the next generation of jobs by 2035,” said Michelle Froah, SVP of Corporate Solutions at ETS. “As AI reshapes every corner of the workforce, individuals and organizations need more than awareness—they need actionable insight. Futurenav Adapt AI empowers leaders with the tools to understand, skill and grow their talent pools with AI, while providing the trusted measurement needed to track progress and build real capacity.”

Futurenav Adapt AI offers a suite of three modules: Reflect, Reason and Apply. Features include:

  • Reflect – Gauges employees’ perceptions and frequency of using AI tools
  • Reason – Adaptive, scenario-based assessment that accurately measures employees’ AI knowledge
  • Apply – Scenario-based assessment that mirrors practical workplace AI applications and prompt engineering tasks to assess AI knowledge, application and behaviors

Futurenav Adapt AI is just the latest assessment being offered as part of the larger Futurenav holistic solution that can help employers gain deeper insights into their talent’s specific skills. It is built on ETS’s legacy of research and innovation, offering a scalable tool for workforce leaders to leverage. By continuously adapting to user input, Futurenav Skillprint is evolving with organizational and employee goals at the center.
