Fee Reduction for the PPAT Assessment

If you’re a college student who meets all the criteria, you’re eligible for a registration fee reduction.

You’re eligible for a fee reduction only once during a testing year. There are a limited number of waivers available per submission window and per educator preparation program. All requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

You’ll need to create an ETS account before requesting a fee reduction.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for a fee reduction, you need to:

  1. be currently receiving financial aid
  2. be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and provide a current Enrollment Verification Certificate (You’re ineligible if you have a master’s degree or a doctorate.)
  3. provide a current FAFSA® Student Aid Report (SAR) that shows an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $3,000 or less
  4. be required to take the PPAT assessment by an authorized score recipient

If you already registered and paid using a prepaid voucher, you’re not eligible for this fee reduction. Fee waivers and prepaid vouchers can’t be combined.
