To Qualify for ACSLPA Registration as an Audiologist
To qualify for registration, an applicant trained outside of a Canadian accredited university training program must:
- Submit the completed and signed audiology registration application, including all required documentation and the appropriate application fee.
- Obtain a decision letter from ACSLPA's Registration Committee, outlining any deficiencies or additional requirements and complete any additional training or coursework required.
- Obtain a passing score on the Praxis® Audiology exam. The passing scaled score set by ACSLPA for the audiology exam is 160.
- Once in Alberta, complete a 450-hour supervised practice placement with a supervisor approved by ACSLPA.

To Qualify for ACSLPA Registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist
To qualify for registration, an applicant trained outside of a Canadian accredited university training program must:
- Submit the completed and signed Speech-Language Pathology registration application, including all required documentation and the appropriate application fee.
- Obtain a decision letter from ACSLPA's Registration Committee, outlining any deficiencies or additional requirements, and complete any additional training or coursework required.
- Obtain a passing score on the Praxis Speech-Language Pathology exam. The passing scaled score set by ACSLPA for the speech-language pathology exam is 154.
