To Qualify for NASP Certification
To qualify for the NASP, a school psychologist must:
- Meet established standards of the NASP, including:
- Standards for Training and Field Placement Programs in School Psychology
- Standards for the Credentialing of School Psychologists
- Standards for the Provision of School Psychological Services
- Principles for Professional Ethics

- Complete an organized graduate program in school psychology (minimum 60 graduate semester/90 quarter hours)
- Complete a 1,200 hour internship
- Achieve a passing score on the Praxis® School Psychologist examination
