Chen Li

Chen Li is a computational research specialist at ETS with more than 10 years of research experience and hands on proficiency in Python and R. Her research interests and expertise focus on the valid, fair, and ethical use of AI in assessment and education. She has contributed extensively to projects involving automated scoring, test security monitoring, writing trait research, critical thinking assessment, keystroke data analysis, and fairness evaluation for content generation. In these efforts, she has played key roles in research design, tool development, and the development and application of a wide range of statistical and psychometric models. Chen has served as the lead data analyst on multiple federally funded projects and national assessments, including the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) Vocabulary project (R305A080647), Argumentation Skills Development (R305A190242), CS Assessment Development (National Science Foundation, NSF, Award 2055550), Teachscape, the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), and the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), among others.
