Hyeonjoo Oh was a senior psychometrician at ETS until October 2022. She joined the organization in 2011 and worked on the SAT®, PSAT/NMSQT®, TOEIC®, and various large-scale K-12 testing programs. Prior to her current position, she managed a team of psychometricians working on multiple state testing programs. She received the ETS Presidential Award for the successful launch of the remotely proctored HiSET test (a.k.a. HiSET Exam at Home) in 2020. When she was a lead psychometrician for the PSAT/NMSQT program, she was awarded three grants from the College Board for test score equity research. Her primary research interests while at ETS included test equating, linking, and score equity and comparability.
Her educational background includes Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in measurement, statistics, and evaluation from the University of Delaware, an M.A. in clinical psychology, and B.A. in psychology from Kyungpook National University in Daegu, Korea. She is a member of the American Educational Research Association and the National Council on Measurement in Education. She has served as a member and a chair for the AERA Early Career Award.
