Ashu Kapoor is a client management lead at ETS, currently supporting the Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH) largescale student assessment project of the Indian Ministry of Education. She also contributes to business development across India and South Asia through opportunity scoping, strategic engagements, partnerships, and technical writing for expression of interest (EOI)/request for proposals (RFP) responses.
Ashu has served as a team lead, contextual expert, and qualitative researcher for several international large-scale assessment projects, including those with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Bangladesh, the National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA) in Rwanda, and the employability skills project with British Council in the United Kingdom. With nearly 15 years of experience in education and research, her prior work spans Indian national education bodies including the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the National Testing Authority (NTA), and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
She holds a Ph.D. and an M.Phil. in education from the Department of Education, University of Delhi, along with a master’s degree in Sociology. Her areas of specialization include sociocultural aspects of assessment, qualitative research methods, teacher evaluation, and professional development.
