Coral De Jesús Illas is a senior assessment specialist for Assessment Content Development (ACD) for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) at ETS, with expertise in Spanish language assessment development, translation, and learning design. Her primary responsibilities in her role include managing the end-to-end Spanish language translation processes for bilingual accommodations and Puerto Rico assessments, which strengthens accessibility for diverse student populations.
Coral holds master’s degrees in learning design & technology and in Spanish translation, as well as a bachelor’s degree in foreign languages and European history. She has taught Spanish at multiple institutions, including the Foreign Service Institute and George Washington University, and she remains active in the translation and assessment community through professional memberships. Across all her work, Coral is committed to advancing equitable, culturally relevant assessment practices that support meaningful learning for all students.
