Diego Figueiras is an associate measurement scientist in the ETS Research Institute. He joined the organization in 2024 after completing his Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology at Montclair State University. He also has a master’s degree in psychometrics and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University. His work focuses on validating and optimizing the PSQ and GRE; the use of a wide variety of machine learning algorithms and psychometric methods for measuring reliability, validity and fairness; and the usage of AI for automatically assessing open-ended responses to questions in the workplace and genAI for assessment creation.
