Renka Ohta is a senior research project manager in the Skills and Business Excellence (SABE) team in the ETS Research Institute. She contributes to the TOEFL and TOEIC research and has involved with the development and delivery of the short online professional development courses for English language teachers worldwide. She also manages the TOEFL Grant for Doctoral Research in Language Assessment. Before joining ETS, she taught English as a foreign/second language to high school students in Japan and college students in the US. She earned her Ph.D. in foreign language and ESL education from the University of Iowa in 2018.
